Our colocation offering is like no other in the Denver area. We understand that not every customer has just landed a 5 million dollar investment. More likely, you are a small to medium business that doesn’t have a business plan that includes spending hundreds to host your server(s).

We have a very simple methodology here at Red Rocks Data Center, we’re not successful until you are. A bit cliche, we know, but in our business, we don’t sell you a product and walk away counting our cash. Our goal is to become your partner in business. Worried about bandwidth? Since we are a full service data center, we have access to large amounts of bandwidth and we pass this along to our customers. Our shared colocation plan comes with 3Mbps of high quality Internap bandwidth and 1/4 and full racks include ample bandwidth amounts as well so you won’t be counting your megabytes towards the end of each month.

Colocation FAQ

Q:What is shared colocation?

A: Shared colocation means that your server is in a secured rack with other colocation customers.

Q: Will I have physical access to my servers?

A: Yes, 24×7 hour access to your server is included with any plan. All cabinets, cages, and suites are locking and only visitors with the appropriate access are allowed into each section of our data center.

Q: Can I install 3 1U servers and a switch in a 4U space?

A: Absolutely. Creating your own Vlan is acceptable.

Q: What do I need to include if I ship my server to your facility with UPS/Fed Ex/etc.?

A: You must include your server and a power cord. If you are sending us a rack-mount server you must also include rack rails (see below). We will provide an Ethernet cable to connect your server to our network. We strongly recommend that you have your server professionally packaged if you don’t have suitable materials on hand. A well-packed server is wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap on all sides, and will have about a 2″ layer of styrofoam packing peanuts on all sides and be in a sturdy, snug-fitting box. We can not be responsible for any damage sustained by your server in shipment and recommend insuring your server with your chosen shipper. We recommend DHL They seem to take very good care of servers in general.

Q: What type of rack rails do I need to install my server into one of your racks?

A: We require adjustable rails that will mount in the standard EIA hole pattern using 10-32 size screws. Our server racks are enclosed 4-post cabinets without threaded holes in the front and rear posts. If you need assistance choosing the correct rack rails, please contact us and we will help you with your selection.
